The Full Story
By day, Avi Vince is a journalist. Pre-kids, she worked as the Managing Editor of Mamamia, Australia’s largest independent women’s media group.
Post-kids, and for the first five years of her children's lives, she worked as a freelance writer for First Five Years.
Today, she works as a journalist for Manly Observer, a local news site covering the Northern Beaches of Sydney where she lives.

In the early hours, late hours, and any tiny speck of free time, Avi is an aspiring author working on her first contemporary women's fiction novel with themes of domestic suspense (think secrets).

So far, she’s had a short story published in the Northern Beaches Writers’ Group 2023 Anthology and in 2024, she couldn’t believe her luck when her short story placed second at the Northern Beaches Readers’ Festival (which you can read here).
The best way to know much more about Avi is to follow her on Instagram where she posts her most recent articles, shares news she feels passionate about, posts book reviews (and the odd TV or movie review) and occasionally posts annoying blue-sky, white-sand beach shots.
